History of Pleasanton and Jourdanton:

Pleasanton, often referred to as the “Birthplace of the Cowboy,” traces its origins back to the mid-19th century when settlers began to establish homesteads in the area. Originally inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Lipan Apache and Comanche, the land attracted ranchers and farmers seeking fertile soil and abundant water sources. In the late 1850s, the town was formally established and named “Pleasanton” in honor of John Pleasant, a veteran of the Mexican American War who settled in the area. The economy of Pleasanton flourished with the arrival of the railroad in the late 19th century, which facilitated transportation and trade in the region. The town became a hub for cattle ranching and agriculture, with cattle drives and livestock auctions contributing to its prosperity. Over time, Pleasanton evolved into a vibrant community with businesses, schools, churches, and social organizations supporting its growing population. Jourdanton, located just north of Pleasanton, has a history rooted in ranching, agriculture, and oil. The town was established in the late 19th century and named after founder Jourdan Campbell, a local rancher and landowner. Like Pleasanton, Jourdanton benefited from the expansion of the railroad and the growth of the cattle industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The discovery of oil in the early 20th century brought newfound prosperity to Jourdanton and the surrounding area. The Eagle Ford Shale formation, which spans several counties in South Texas, including Atascosa County, became a major oil-producing region, attracting oil companies and workers to Jourdanton. The oil boom led to economic growth and development, with new businesses, infrastructure, and housing springing up in the town.

It’s actually really decent. Gated with your own code, spaces available as needed. Downfall is that I haven’t seen anyone in office, but you can call the number and speak with representatives that are really helpful with booking, transfers, and managing your account. I do like the management of the account online features. Other downfall is if you call then you don’t get the online booking discounts available. Overall, it’s a great storage unit. Prices are a lot more reasonable than other locations in the area hands down, which is really nice. That in itself is worth using KO storage.
