Reserve your unit through a KO Storage facility’s website or over the phone with our staff.

All personal property stored by the Occupant is stored at the occupant’s sole risk. The occupant must provide their own insurance for protection against fire, theft, damage, and other potential perils.

Some contents are not suitable for storage at KO Storage facilities. These include storage of heirlooms or precious, invaluable or irreplaceable property for which no immediate resale market exists, objects which are claimed to have special or emotional value and records or receipts relating to the stored goods. Written notice of termination is required 30 days in advance of your planned move-out. Please call, email, or text your notice with your planned move-out date.

To receive your security deposit refund, provide a 30-day notice. Please empty the unit and sweep up any debris. If the unit came with a lock and key, place those inside the unit with the door closed. Contact us by phone, email, or text when this is completed.

Generally, occupants are responsible for supplying their own locks. KO Storage recommends disc locks.

If the facility is gated, a gate code will be given to you upon signing the rental agreement thereby completing the move-in. Upon completion of the move-in, your assigned unit will be unlocked and you can move-in at your convenience. Most of our locations offer 24-hour access.

We work quickly to repair maintenance issues with regular inspections. Due to shifts in temperature and humidity, occasional condensation can occur due to concrete slab sweating during the warmer months. We chemically treat the concrete in an effort to counteract this. If you are storing items that can be damaged by condensations, we recommend placing items on pallets. Keep items susceptible to moisture off the floor and/or in plastic totes. Some of our facilities offer temperature- and climate-controlled storage to help protect your items year-round.

Rent is prorated for the day of the month you move-in. Additionally, we require a refundable security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent. This is returned via a mailed check, provided the occupant gave 30 days’ notice of move-out and the unit is left vacant and clean.
